“What’s your head count?” Tony Stark compares armies in new Avengers TV spot

The latest TV spot for The Avengers finally reveals a glimpse of Loki’s alien army.

In a scene featuring Robert Downey Jnr as Tony Stark and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, the two compare armies, finishing in Stark’s now immortal “We have a hulk” line.

Already there has been a bit of criticism flying around of the look of the aliens, but I honestly believe its too early to make a call on this. The glimpse is only that – a glimpse. Let’s wait til we see the real thing in the movie itself before we pass too much judgement.

In the meantime, feast your eyes upon the new trailer…

“We have a Hulk.”

I loved this line so much I had to post it. It was said a couple of days ago at the D23 Expo – the annual Disney convention. The line comes from a scene in the new Avengers movie of course, and features Tom Hiddlestone as Loki (the villain in Thor) saying “I have an army”, to which Robert Downey Jnr as Stark responds “We have a Hulk.” Classic.

The footage was shown on stage at D23, introduced by Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige, who was later joined on-stage by some of the cast , including Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and Downey Jr.

Avengers is due to hit theatres in the US and UK on 4th May 2012.
